Lately, I’ve been exploring different hot sauces, and I found myself diving deep into Tabasco. I really like the Chipotle version — it has a nice smokiness without being too overpowering, and it seems to complement just about any meal.

This got me thinking about everyone else's daily hot sauce. I’m curious about that go-to bottle you always have on hand, the one you reach for without hesitation. You know, the trusty sauce that makes its way onto everything from eggs and tacos to leftover pizza.

Is it something classic like Texas Pete, Cholula, or maybe something else altogether? I’m really looking for solid recommendations that emphasize great flavor without leaving my mouth in flames.

So, what’s your everyday hot sauce, and what do you typically enjoy it on?

Although I am a "chilihead", I love Tabasco on eggs! 😊

My daily go-to is usually the green habanero sauce, for a lot of heat I use Reaper powder. For salsa with chips it's the Reaper salsa...some wicked stuff! 🧯

The Reaper powder is good on just about anything, eggs, soups, Mexican food, etc...but ya gotta be careful with it as just a little goes a very long way!

I usually get a variety of hot sauces for Christmas. None that I ever remembered or cared to purchase after the bottle was emptied, The one Christmas gift I like the best is dehydrated ghost pepper flakes.. We get them in Gatlinburg from an individual. He gave us samples of the Carolina reaper. It was extremely hot. The ghost pepper if you can find it is about right.
For a long time I used Cholula sauce , while my bro in law said Tabasco was his go to sauce. In recent years I have gone back to using traditional red Tobascao sauce. I do enjoy the chipotle flavored sauce from time to time and I find the green bottle of Tabasco may have the best overall flavor, but it lacks heat and I could never get used to putting the green stuff on my eggs - or what ever. So for me its traditional red Tabasco and Worcestershire for my steaks

I'm getting to age (74yo & counting) my system can't take the spice as it once did, I've made my sauces for several years from peppers I've grown. I still have a supply of dehydrated & ground Carolina Reaper, Ghost, and golden habanero.

Texas Pete has been my favorite for years but my son in law brought me a bottle of Slap Ya Momma and it’s really good

Earlier I made comments about not liking the green stuff on my food and yet - that very afternoon, I found myself putting El Yucateco green habanero sauce on an entree. I take back what I said earlier about the green colored hot sauce and endorse the El Yucateco brand of green habanero sauce.

I found some of the Texas Pete sauce with the little greenish/yellow peppers (whole) in there. I snatched up a couple of bottles and have been eating them with everything short of cereal...... And that may be next... ha.
