People who litter at hunting spots

I hunt on public lands and WMA's It happens way too frequently on land that does not belong to you or I. I think the reason Wal Mart no longer allows truckers overnight parking is because the bad truckers dump their trash on the parking lot. Its a matter of time before none of us will be allowed to hunt anywhere but private land or lease's. A few bad apples ...

That's one of my pet peeves. Before I moved here, I used to frequent a state wildlife area for duck hunting. They had assigned blinds, and there were nice, short, easy-to-walk trails out to most of them. You wouldn't believe the trash and garbage that was left in some of them. I'd always take a couple of plastic grocery bags out there just for trash, and sometimes I'd fill both of them, and only 1/3 of 1 was my trash. And some of the stuff you'd find out there, unbelievable. One time, I found a plastic water bottle full of piss. I mean, come on, there are bushes all around the blind, just piss in the bushes. And it seemed like no one would pick up their empty shotgun shells. I can understand missing a couple, as pump guns and semi-autos will throw them all over, but leaving 30 or 40 in plain sight around the blind. Unacceptable. I was always afraid some anti-hunting bigwig politician would one day do a tour, see all the trash strewn about, and decide that if hunters couldn't respect the area, they'd shut it down to hunting. And hunters couldn't deny they were at fault, as a large percentage of the trash consisted of empty shotgun shells.

Litter anywhere is irritating and just plain pi$$es me off.
Too many people are just plain PIGS!
It's bad enough on public land (that We pay to manage), even worse (IMO) on private land. I was taught that if you have permission to be on another's property, you leave two things behind. #1 good feeling and #2 is footprints. Anything else is totally unacceptable.

One of my fondest memories of my dad was him giving some old man a stern lesson about putting a tarp on your truck when going to the dump. That old dude was in front of us on the way to the county dump with junk flying out the whole way. My dad was a respectful man of his elders but hearing him dress that old man down let me know you hold people accountable for their actions.

As a Boy Scout I was doubly proud that it was about not littering our environment.
