That's one of my pet peeves. Before I moved here, I used to frequent a state wildlife area for duck hunting. They had assigned blinds, and there were nice, short, easy-to-walk trails out to most of them. You wouldn't believe the trash and garbage that was left in some of them. I'd always take a couple of plastic grocery bags out there just for trash, and sometimes I'd fill both of them, and only 1/3 of 1 was my trash. And some of the stuff you'd find out there, unbelievable. One time, I found a plastic water bottle full of piss. I mean, come on, there are bushes all around the blind, just piss in the bushes. And it seemed like no one would pick up their empty shotgun shells. I can understand missing a couple, as pump guns and semi-autos will throw them all over, but leaving 30 or 40 in plain sight around the blind. Unacceptable. I was always afraid some anti-hunting bigwig politician would one day do a tour, see all the trash strewn about, and decide that if hunters couldn't respect the area, they'd shut it down to hunting. And hunters couldn't deny they were at fault, as a large percentage of the trash consisted of empty shotgun shells.
