Guys that turned into a chore, some of those .50 cal boxes are some serious weight! I think the heaviest ones are the .40 and .45, they'll make ya grunt picking them up...wish I had a scale out there to weight them, I bet the heaviest ones were at least 50 lbs.

What started this was someone gave me a Cabela's plastic ammo box quite some time ago and I had .556 in it, I noticed some time back that it was crushed...yeah should have had it more towards the top, but all of the boxes are heavy.

Harbor Freight had their .50 boxes on sale for $11 each so I grabbed two more, actually may go back and still grab a couple more.

At least this time I put the heaviest stuff on or towards the bottom. 👍

Ammunition can end up being as much of an obsession as the guns themselves! A weapon without ammo if nothing more than a big stick or a metal rock! 👍

One day it won't be a problem of finding a firearm to protect or feed yourself and your family, it will be finding ammunition... 😳

This is one of the main reasons I jumped into the reloading rabbit hole.
