I once Shot at what I thought was legal light. The game warden said I was five minutes early and I got a ticket. It is important to know your exact sunrise/sunset times folks

That’s rough. Definitely double-check sunrise and sunset times, those few minutes can cost you.

TWRA has the sun set/rise table on the APP now; I imagine its so they can say you don't have an excuse.

I'm old enough to remember Greenwich Mean Time and "zeroing" or synchronizing your watch...that had a face, hands, and numbers...and a crown for winding...

I always check the state wildlife app the night before I hunt. The app tells you exactly when it's legal to start shooting, and 'close enough' doesn't count. A ticket for shooting too early is better than losing your hunting license.

Yup, there's an app for that. Check the sunrise time the afternoon before and then set an alarm for legal shoot time on your cell phone. Put it on vibrate if you think the sound might scare your game. As soon as the alarm goes off, you're in legal shoot time.
