What to Skip When Dressing for the Range

I've been wondering what everyone really wears to the range. Not so much the full gear, but just the everyday stuff.

I've been going out a bit lately, and I can't help but notice what people have on. Like, camo? It seems to get a bit much sometimes, especially if it's just a casual day of drills or running a few mags. I get the whole 'look cool' aspect, but it feels like overkill unless you're hunting or something.

I've been going for more casual looks—jeans, a simple t-shirt, and some solid boots. Just stuff that keeps me comfy and safe—no sandals, of course—and doesn't scream military.

Makes me curious if I'm just reading too much into this. Do you all think about what to wear? Or is camo still the go-to for you? Just looking for some thoughts here.

Whatever I have on that day. I don't wear anything special. I don't own any camo. I don't hunt anymore and I didn't wear camo when I did.

The weather determines what I'll be wearing. Jeans, shorts, or overalls - COMFORT is the goal. Always wear comfortable footwear, whether it be boots or sneakers. Never felt the need for "tacti-cool or camo" for some range time.

Wear what you're comfortable in, or if you're training something specifically then mimic what you're training for. I shoot a lot of clays all summer in shorts and a tee shirt, even been known to wear sandals or crocs. But if I'm working on my concealed draw and dry fire I'm wearing what I would at work or on the streets.

I actually wear the most covering clothes possible (long trousers, long sleeve shirt, baseball cap pulled down low, etc) to minimize the amount of powder, smoke, and possible lead residue on my body.

My range is my backyard, therefore my response is limited, but Skyhunter's input seems most valid; be comfortable for the current conditions.
