U9 Herters rifle

I’ve got my Dad’s old U9 Herters varmit rifle in 222 rem mag and I’m looking for a one piece picatinny rail and I’ve read that one that would work for a Howa 1500 SA will work. Do any of yall have any experience with these rifles or know where I can find out for sure. I’m pretty sure that the 2 piece mount is the same as a weaver #36 back and weaver #40 front mount any information would be greatly appreciated. I pray that y’all have a blessed weekend

Weaver 36/40 is right. Howa 1500 rails might fit but verify screw spacing before ordering.

 You know, those U9s, they're pretty much built on Howa actions. So, if you're looking for a rail, something like an EGW or Talley one-piece for a 1500 short action ought to fit right on. Just a heads up, though, always measure those screw holes before you hit buy.

Thank you the one I have must be a unicorn. From the research I’ve done it appears to be like a Parker Hale the receiver is flat on top so I’m wondering why I can’t just get a rail that’s flat and just drill and tape them myself. Something like one for a marlin lever action. In the meantime I’ve got some Weaver rings that will work they’re 1” diameter. Thank you for your help and advice and I pray that you have a blessed week
