Everyone swears by aftermarket triggers in ARs. I tried one, shot my stock trigger back-to-back, couldn't tell enough difference to justify the cost for my skill level. Maybe competition shooters need that, but for my purposes, mil-spec works fine. Not every upgrade is necessary for every shooter.

Just about every off the shelf firearm can be improved with a tweak or two. Some will actually see a fairly dramatic improvement and some just need a bit of personal touch to make them more desirable to the owner. Triggers were an area where I just grinned and accepted what came on a rifle for a long time. Ignorance was bliss for me. Now I have seen the light with after market springs and triggers. If you looking for better precision, a reasonably light and crisp trigger can make a big difference.
