I remember fixing up my old shotgun with a flashlight and new stock. It was like a new gun! The recoil didn't bother me as much and I could actually see what I was aiming at...it's amazing what small changes can do to make a shotgun dependable. What changes have you made to your shotgun that really mattered?

I used to have a hard time controlling my shotgun when I first started. Then I saw an ad for a stock that reduces recoil, so I got it. Now I can shoot without getting sore after every round

Removed the plug, as I don.t hunt ducks, dove or quail. Replaced the 24 inch turkey barrel / turkey choke (after turkey season) with a 28 inch modified - went skeet shooting and squirrel hunting, Now thinking about a rifled slug barrel and a red dot optics. It's just a old Mossberg 500 BUT when you have options, it like shooting an entirely different gun.
