My wife and I had to drive to my hometown yesterday for a funeral, about 2 hours from here over in SW Virginia, one of my Uncles passed away at 86 years old. A really great guy, the whole area knew him as "Friendly Frank", and he really was, the man never met a stranger in his life.
I'm pretty much talking to everyone there, even the ones I had no clue as to who they were, friends of his that I'd never met.
Of all my kin folk that were there I believe only a couple weren't armed! I'd just ask "what are you carrying today", the answers varied from .32's to .357's!
I'd look around, no obvious signs, no bulges, nothing, just a bunch of family at a funeral.
My brother whom I hadn't seen in a few years was carrying a Glock 19 and a Taurus 856...I told him how proud I was!
He asked about mine, I had my S&W BG 2.0 and my Taurus GX4.
We come from gun people, and that tradition lives on!
