Hey everyone! I thought it’d be fun to start a thread to show off our four-legged friends. Got a hunting dog, house dog, or maybe just a porch pup stealing your spot on the couch? Let’s see those photos!

I’ve got a yellow lab named Bella who thinks she’s a lap dog despite being 80 pounds! She loves chasing squirrels and has a habit of stealing my socks. How about you? What’s your dog’s name, and how did you end up with them?

I’d love to hear your funny or memorable stories too. Let’s celebrate our pups and all the joy they bring. Can’t wait to see some great pics!

I don't own any pets as I live to close to a busy road and couldn't bear the loss of one I just became so attached to however - My favorite pet story! It involves a large yellow lab and my cousin who at the time was probably all of 50 pounds soaking wet. I don't even remember the dogs name, however this dog loved to retrieve. My cousin would tie a good leash to the dog and then secure it to himself. Dennis would throw the ball as far as he could and the dog would run at full speed - dragging Dennis behind him You could here Dennis laughing hysterically. Once he regained composure - he would throw the ball again and again. I must have watched him and the dog play for a half an hour. Times were much simpler then and one could find entertainment within their own front yard and their best friend.

I’m definitely a dog lover. We had German Shepherds when I was a kid. Work kept me very busy with travel and long hours for many years. I told my daughters when we finished building our second house they could get a puppy. The wife took them to a breeder and they came home with two miniature dachshunds. A few years later I picked up my first lab puppy. He was a block head yellow lab, and a wonderful member of the family. Sadly, the worst thing about dogs is they don’t live very long. About seven years ago we picked up a new family member. A chocolate lab that has to be one of the sweetest and spoiled dogs on the planet. He’s a big boy around 115lbs. Everybody he encounters is treated like his best friend. He thinks he is a lap dog as well.
