Do muzzle brakes change follow-up shot timing?

I saw this question in group, and I will say absolutely. A good brake keeps the rifle flatter and speeds up follow-up shots. Downsides are noise and blast, which your buddies will never forgive. It is worth it, just don’t pretend there’s no tradeoff.

I've got a VG6 brake on one of my rifles and it definitely keeps the muzzle super flat. But, you know... nobody really wants to be standing right next to me when I'm firing that thing.

Good take, muzzle brakes help with control and speed but you definitely pay for it in noise and concussion.
