I got a pistol I bought years ago that just sits in the safe. I've shot it maybe three times, I could sell it and put the money toward something I'd actually use. But also what if I regret it? Do you guys keep everything or sell stuff you don't use?

A few years ago, I made a decision regarding my firearms hobby. If I was going to acquire a "new" firearm I would have to liquidate one from my collection that didn't get used. It makes the decision serious and you have to really consider whether or not the potential new acquisition is really worth getting rid of something that you once really wanted. At my current age, I really don't need anything but, the "want" factor has never gone away.

I've bought and sold things I never even shot.
Most I'm glad to watch them go, as they were a passing fling.
I have the sentimental pieces that will never go.

I do regret selling all the Kimber rifles I've had over the years and the one S&W41 I let go.

I told my wife when we married, "I trade cars and guns, if you're not ok with that, I can trade wives."
She laughed and said "trade all the cars and guns you want"...we've been together for over 30 years now.
