I almost pulled the trigger on a $2,000 tricked-out AR that I didn't need and couldn't really afford. I slept on it, came back the next day and it was gone. I am glad I dodged a bullet financially.

I've done the same, many times actually. You see that "I really want it" gun, walk around pondering forking over cash that could be put to better use for a while and then ultimately just leaving... I've slept on more than a few and then made the decision to not make the purchase. I have left a few alone for weeks and/or months before and did finally buy them...and then down the road keep asking myself why did I end up with this... "Gotta have one of those" is the reason I have about 15 9mm handguns in the safes...and only utilize three of them really, a Glock 19, a Browning HP, and a Sig P365. 😳

That’s how collections happen, logic leaves, emotion buys it and future you asks why :)

When I first retired, I bought several things I always wanted through the years. Got them played with them and eventually sold or traded them off. I can't think of stupid gun I bought...not even my Davis Arms pocket gun that could not hit the broad side of a barn.

I did buy an "Army combat sword" and after serving in the Army for 28 years oddly never saw a "combat sword"...soooo yeah....
