I started with a basic 1911 and told myself I'd just swap the grips now I'm looking at triggers, barrels and custom slide work, my wallet is crying but man, this platform is addictive

There is no cure, once hooked it has you. If you're also a reloader there is no return, as you must have all available calibers for this addiction.

It's like owning a jeep and saying that you will make no modifications whatsoever. It ain't happening. You're gonna modify something.

Why do I think you're just paying for bling if you can't manage the fundamentals? I know a lot of people might not share my sentiments, but peer pressure do not move me. Training and trigger control matter way more than any fancy fiber optic or tritium lamp

Haha, you’re absolutely right, I can already feel it taking hold. I’m not reloading yet, but I can see that being the next step down this expensive, awesome rabbit hole.

That’s the perfect comparison you tell yourself you’ll keep it stock, then one upgrade leads to another, and suddenly you’ve got a full-blown custom project

I totally get where you’re coming from, I’m focusing on fundamentals first then upgrades are just part of the fun, not a fix
