Even a slow day fishing can be brightened up with Bald Eagle encounters. Paddling the small rivers in middle TN are now becoming frequent Eagle sighting situations. A trip to the Piney River this morning was sketchy weather wise with a fast approaching thunderstorm. However, we were entertained by pair a pair of mature eagles. We’ve paddled and fished the river many times, but this was first eagle encounter. It was a short but great trip.
The Harpeth and Buffalo are common eagle encounter rivers. Any great eagle sighting rivers you would recommend?

That sounds amazing! Middle TN has some good spots, I’ve heard the Duck River and Tennessee River stretches near Percy Priest Lake also have frequent eagle sightings.

The recovery of Bald Eagles has been outstanding. Nesting pairs only means more in the future. I wish I brought my good camera on my last trip. The iPhone only can do so much.
