Been wanting a semi-auto shotgun for a few years, I have a dbl barrel 12ga coach gun, a Winchester 1300 Defender, and a Mossberg 590A1 now...but the semi itch was still there! 
I bought a MAC 1014 Semi 12ga last week, got it for $558 out the door at Academy Sports, they were at least $50 cheaper than anyone else around here.
So far I've ran a little over 150 rounds through it. The manual states a break in period of 100 rounds of 1,350+fps shells, that's the first time I have ever seen a break in procedure in an owners manual before! The last 50 rounds I sent downstream were low brass Winchester running at 1,200fps I believe, I'd have to go out to the garage to verify that, but they ran fine.
Zero issues so far, the shotgun runs great. Runs good enough that I ordered another 250 rounds of Super-X 1,325fps yesterday just to keep the storage where it should be!
I cleaned it today, it's a trick disassembling/reassembling but it'll get easier with repetition. The action on it was almost completely clean, the only places I saw carbon were at the gas pistons, this thing could go through a lot of rounds before it actually needed cleaning. If I am going to shoot a given firearm over a few days I will give them an external wipe down and clean them when I'm completely done shooting, if it's a one and done thing they get detailed cleanings that night.
So far I am a happy camper with this one, the 590A1 will see some safe time...at least for a while!
