Knoxville Gun Show

Anybody here headed to the show in Knoxville this weekend? I may ride down there on Sunday, not sure yet, haven't even picked up anything the last few times I went down.

It's still a pretty good show, not bad...as with most shows nowadays there's still a lot of the flee market junk vendors creeping in, wish they'd do away with that...

I still miss the old show over at Chilhowee Park, most (most) of the vendors go to the one at the Expo Center now but I just liked the old venue better..

I did go to the show, it was crowded! I was stunned at some of the prices, a lot looked like you just walked into a gun store and not a show.

I did keep my "gotta have it" under control as one really tempted me, a Beretta A300 Patrol for $900....still got half way back home and kicked myself for not bringing it back...but there will be another show...and another A300!

I use to like gun shows. I guess in some respects, I still do. I typically take a gun or two with me to sell or trade. The most recent gun show trips have been disappointing. A ton of junk, high prices on anything interesting, and the fact that I suffer from thinking I need things that really defy logic.

I'm right there with you on this. I carry one or two with hopes of trading up. it never works out. I usually end up with a bowl of chili or a chili dog and call it a day. I do better trading close to home with people who recognize me and then going home and having one of my wife's famous fried bologna sandwiches.

I hear ya, man. Shows ain't what they used to be. I haven't been to Knoxville in a while myself, but the Expo Center still pulls good vendors
