One thing you wish you were better at

I wish I didn’t need my phone to read a map. I depend on GPS way too much and it ruins the fun sometimes. Getting around by instinct is way more satisfying. What's one thing you wish you were better at??

I wish I were better at identifying animal tracks...reading the land tells stories GPS never can.

I feel this! I wish I didn’t need my phone for maps, either. There’s something satisfying about figuring things out with just your instinct, landmarks or an old compass and map. GPS can fail and then you realize how rusty your skills are. I really want to get better at that.
