As a youngster, in Brooklyn, NY in the late 40's & early 50's ,my Dad would take me & my older brother to a Park that had areas heavily wooded and shoot a BB Rifle at tin cans. Eventually, me, my Dad & my brother would travel to Upstate NY where his family lived and we graduated to .22 Rifles. In the years that followed, the Calibers became bigger & so did I. Now , I have become a Daddy with 4 girls. Yes, as they got older, off to a local rifle range and they now enjoy the sport of shooting. Over time , they learned not to be afraid of guns & to respect them. Yes, they all are married now and have all daughters ,would you believe. I'm glad they have followed in my footsteps. And yes, they too own a Rifle now. Will it continue thru the ages. I hope so. My time here is getting shorter. But I feel my time was well lived.
