Just about any lever action rifle will do nicely in brush. In fact if there were a statistic out there, Id place a small wager that - here in the South - more deer have been harvested with a 30-30 lever action rifle. If its not in the top three or four, Id place a second wager that its in the top ten. Don't get me wrong, I love my bolt action rifle for making a long shot, but more often than not , I'm in dense brush with a muzzle loader or a lever action.
