Just wrapped up a show that really had me hooked, and now I'm on the hunt for something new. I'm not picky about the genre—just want great storytelling and characters that'll keep me invested. It doesn't have to be the latest thing; I'm open to older shows if they're worth it. Would be great if it's easy to stream, too, since I'm mostly using the big platforms. I'd love to hear what's caught your attention lately.

Check out Father Brown on PBS. A unique show set post WWII England. Murder mystery genre. I absolutly love it. I also enjoy Columbo; seeing all the old cars is great fun too. One episode had a Continental with the suicide doors.

There are many shows on PBS that keep me entertained. Warning, though, my lovely wife falls asleep about half way through most of them. It seems the British sleuths take a long time to solve their mysteries.

I watched all 6 or 8? sessions of Patience which just finished recently. Professor T 's 4th season starts Aug 24 on PBS. Both of those crime-solvers are pretty weird individuals, which makes them a great change of pace from the "Shoot 'em Up" American heros, IMHO.

Incidentally, we've added headphones for both of us which helps in two ways. We can understand the Brits better, and we can each have our own volume settings. Saved our 65 yr old marriage!

Hey, another one is Granchester on PBS. It just finished its most recent season last week. Probably can find 5 or 6 seasons if you look. A British cop and a Church minister solve crimes. You have to watch it via a series, since a lot of the side-stories carry over. The murders do not.
