What's the ONE tradition that would ruin Christmas if you skipped it?

I am not talking about the obvious stuff like opening presents. I mean that specific thing your family does that might seem weird to outsiders but matters to you. For us, it's watching National Lampoon's christmas vacation on christmas eve no matter what! Miss it and the whole holiday feels off...what's yours that's absolutely non-negotiable?

Christmas just isn't Christmas without making some homemade tamales or something else from my grandma. I don't think that tradition will ever fade because those rituals mean more than the presents.
