Best hunting memory thread

I used to squirrel & dove hunt when I was in high school. I never shot anything, but just being in the woods with friends, and the breeze against my face, a single shot 12 gauge I got for Christmas - it was great! A much simpler time! The best of the best was fishing with my dad! We sometimes brought enough fish home for a big meal! Sometimes multiple meals! Now the best days are taking my grand-kids fishing. Good days...
Most of my younger memories are of me and my dad going hunting and fishing then my very best memories are taking my kids either hunting or fishing. My oldest child is my only daughter and she never wanted to hunt but she liked to fish and one year I carried her and my wife crappie fishing and they absolutely wore the fish out all I could do was to bait their hooks and take their fish off. Them my sons did everything I did so we were together for their first everything. Now my granddaughters and my grandson are here close by and I get out with them every chance I get their all getting grown but we still get together as often as possible. My family is everything to me I try very hard to put God first and to be as good of an example to them as I can.
